This morning we left Kinvara behind as we began our journey to the south west. The weather was really nice despite a not too good forecast and that was very important as we were headed for the Cliffs of Moher (pictured above).

Crossing the Shannon river on the ferry on our way to Killarney we were joined by a Vintage car rally group from the USA Here you can see Gary on the upper deck admiring the cars below.

Today we were blessed with lovely sunshine and all was well as we journeyed through the Burren of county Clare on our way south, taking in the mighty Cliffs of Moher. On reaching Killarney we checked into the Killarney Plaza Hotel which will be our base during our stay in this great town. The Plaza is a wonderful hotel if you are coming to Killarney.

ReplyDeleteThey have been telling me all about you, and all of it is good. They will be delighted that you are following their tour on my Blog, and they really are having a great time. Your job, when they get home again, will be to help them work off all those extra pounds that they are putting on here. They just cannot refuse our wonderful food, especially the fish and seafood. Gary and John have also developed an uncontrollable thirst for Jameson Whiskey. I am doing my best to keep an eye on them, but i can only do so much. Hopefully this is only a temporary attraction, and not an addiction. They are good guys though, and i am hopeful.
