Poewerscourt/Glendalough with Chauffeurdriven Vacation

Powerscourt in county Wicklow today.
The gardens here are truly magnificent.

We took the route over the mountains via the Sally Gap on our way to Glendalough. This picture of the Ballymacnass waterfall was taken en-route.  Unfortunately there was very little water in it due to the long dry spell that we are experiencing in our present heatwave.

A long range view from the monastic site at Glendalough, of the valley, with the lakes in the distance. The name Glendalough is derived from the Irish meaning the valley of the two lakes.

 This tour today was once again really lovely and once again the weather was fantastic.
