The entrance to the club house.
Beautiful flowers, and a fountain, bordering the eighteenth green.
Mark and Gloria pictured with Charlie Chaplin at Waterville at the head of the peninsula.
High on the mountains at the tip of the peninsula, with the Atlantic in the background.
I found a lovely present for Gloria.
And how she loved her baby lamb.
Mark and Gloria pictured at Ladies View, one of the most famous beauty spots on the Ring of Kerry. It was here that Queen Victoria stood with her handmaidens and proclaimed it to be the most beautiful view in the Kingdom. The lakes in the background stretch all the way down into Killarney.
There was a Leprechaun here also but they do not show up in photographs.
Enjoying a break in a cozy pub in Sneem.
Muckross House is located just on the outskirts of Killarney town, and our final stop-off at the end of our tour of the Ring of Kerry. Here you see Gloria and Mark, with this historic stately home in the background. It was here that Queen Victoria stayed during her brief visit to Killarney.
A tremendous amount of money was spent preparing the house and gardens for the Queens visit, but unfortunately, her husband took ill, and they had to return to England immediately.
The gardens are awash with colour at this time of the year, with the rhododendrons in full bloom right now. Again i have to recommend a visit here. It is a very special place.
This was another great day, and thankfully the weather really held up well for us. Tomorrow we head for my own personal favourite place, the Dingle peninsula.
