My friends had spent last night in Kinvara, a lovely harbour town on the edge of the Burren.
After leaving the chocolate factory, then it was on to the ancient ruin of Corcomroe Abbey, an abbey dating back into the twelfth century. Here we are standing in front of the Abbey, with, from the left, Dean, Linda, the fine tall man in the middle is me, and then, Gary and Barbara.
Well it looks like my four pals have done a great job without the help of the Lisdoonvarna pros, as they dance around the statues in the center of the town.
A lovely picture, on the hillside on the Corkscrew hill in the Burren.
Finally we made it to the Cliffs, as you can see here, and we were blessed to have a sunny day with a nice cool breeze.
We then made our way to the harbour at Doolin, where we had a snack of cheeses and salamis, and chocolate sweets and biscuits. How hungry you can get on a lovely day in the clean fresh air in Ireland.
Do you really think you want to drive in Ireland? This is just a sample of what happens when two- buses meet on our rural roads., and there are plenty of tour buses.
As friends of ours, these lovely people had to visit our home, and here they are, from the left, Linda, Dean, my lovely wife Sue, Gary, and Barbara.
They talked me into this picture, and yes that is me, looking really well still at sixty years of age, or near enough that anyway.
Tomorrow we head off to Killarney with more wonderful adventures to enjoy.
Make sure to stay with us.
