Kilcommons party arrive in Galway on Irish tour.

Mary Kilcommons, and her sister Kathy, and Kathy's two daughters Erin and Coleen, and their niece Mary Kate, arrived in Galway for their Irish Wild Atlantic way tour with me today, after spending their first couple of days in Dublin.
Well, five ladies are bound to bring plenty of luggage, and these ladies did not disappoint.
From the left we have,Erin, Coleen, Mary Kate, Kathy and Mary. They were happy to finally reach Galway, where i collected them at the train station.

Our destination today was their ancestral home in Ballygar, a rural town on the border between County Galway, and county Roscommon, but officially in Galway. This home is no longer in the Kilcommons family. but it was so nice for everybody to see the house that there late father left many years ago. There was nobody there to allow us to see a little more than the outside. but it was still lovely to see the house in such fine condition, and looking so nice.
I took this picture of this old shed beside their house, and the laneway to the field behind obviously led to some of their other fields at the back.
There was a lot of old rubbish in the shed, and i wondered if there was anything there that dated back to the Kilcommons family days.
There was a lovely little garden at the front of the house, as you can see here.
A restricted view of the nice little garden at the rear of the house.
I have had the pleasure of dining in Fallon's pub in Ballygar, and that was where i brought them when i could not stand the hunger any longer.I discovered that they were hungry too. Here we all are together (except for me, as somebody had to take the photo). It is hard to beat good old Irish food, and there was a tasty variety of choices from fish to roast chicken, and roast pork , which i had , and it was delicious.
From the left here we have Mary, Erin, Coleen, Kathy and Mary Kate.
The church where it all happened for this family with baptisms and i am sure marriages, and funerals also, is still there and in perfect condition, and we spent some time there before finally starting back for Galway City, where they are staying tonight.
This was a really nice begining to a new tour with these lovely ladies and i know that we will have a really nice time over the next few day as we make our way around some of the Wild Atlantic Way's most beautiful scenic areas,
You are welcome to come along and enjoy.
