It is nice to know that some people are planning that far ahead and hoping to come and see me in 2011. Well Rita Nancy and Phyllis, you will be more than welcome and i have that to look forward to. I am pleasantly surprised by the amount of enquiries i am receiving despite the negative mood the media are trying to pulverise us with. I always say that when they are introducing the news programs they should never say "Here is the news". They should say "Here is the bad news." I myself do not purchase newspapers any more and i only listen to the news occasionally and mainly to get the sports results and the weather reports. Even the weather reports are not much use because you are just going to get what you are going to get anyway. The good news from me today is that i woke up this morning, and that must mean that i am still alive, and that today i can smile and maybe make someone else smile also. Like we would say in Irish "La Brea" or as pronounced (law braw).
That simply means "Nice day" or "Good Day".
Dave, It's great to see people planning ahead and that you still plan to be sharing your love of Ireland with those wise enough to sign up with Dove Chauffeur. When Kate and I signed up with you in early 2006 for our September 2006 Irish Adventure, we obtained a "chauffeur" and ended up with a life-long friend. The spirit of friendship permeated all the arrangements for our itinerary, our fun-time together and when we said goodbye at the Grafton Hotel in Dublin, we were sad to leave you but also filled with gratitude for all that we had experienced. The sites of Ireland speak for themselves and how can one not forever relish the beauty of the Dingle Peninsula, the charm of Muckross Farm, and the fun of a old castle dinner. Yet, what sticks most are the many Irish stories, maxims and quick retorts that you generously shared with us. We know you kissed the Blarney Stone which seems to grant an endless supply of Irish wit. I'll always remember when you picked us up at the Shannon airport and I got into the driver's side of the car (forgetting things are reversed in Ireland from Colorado) and you quipped: "So now, Leon's going to do the driving, is he?" So, Dave, keep on behind the wheel. Leon & Kate Krier Lakewood, Colorado
