What a busy weekend i have had. We left Killarney behind on Saturday morning on what was to be our final day together. The sun was shining and the skies were blue as we crossed the mighty Shannon river estuary from Tarbert into county Clare. This is a lovely crossing and takes just about twenty minutes.
We then made our way up along the west coast to Lahinch and on to the mighty cliffs of Moher. The sky began to cloud over but the weather held for us and light rain just began to fall as we started our walk back down from the cliff tops. Mt friends loved every minute of this adventure and it really is a spectacular place to visit. From here we began the final leg of our journey into the city of Galway where my new friends were to spend the final couple of days in the West of Ireland. Parting is always sad and that is the way i felt as i said by goodbyes to Bill and his wife Pam and their two lovely youngs adult offspring Will and Jessica. This was another wonderful tour and i am always pleased when i have people with me who have a great time. I know that they will stay in touch with me and they have very kindly offered to communicate with anybody who may wish to ask them about their tour with me. It is always nice for me to get back home ans my wife Sue was delighted to have me back for the weekend. Yesterday (Sunday) i met up with my next touring companions, two sisters from New York who are all excited about their visit to trace their ancestral roots here in the West. I will tell you more about this later..... and this also is an exciting story. Now i better get ready to begin this new adventure.
