Holidays in Ireland

Despite the fact that we are now into October there are still some tourists enjoying what has been a really nice spell of weather. It has been mild and cool, but with plenty of sunshine, and it looks set to continue next week with a return to plenty of sun after a little wet weather at the weekend. A chauffeurdrive holiday at this time of the year can be really nice as you have a lot less traffic around and you can tour at your leisure. Autumn colours are special also and it is one of my own favourite times of the year.
There seems to be growing confidence worldwide that maybe we are over the worst of this recession and the stock markets are reflecting this. I have noticed a gradual increase in enquiries for next year already and that is a good sign for me that people are begining to plan for that holiday in Ireland again. As a private driver and tour operator my main market is the USA and a return to growth there will be good for all of us. It is still a time for investors to be cautious though and beware of high risk funds. The safe route with modest gains will do fine for now as the small gains plus the reduction in the cost of living and inflation when added together still show reasonable returns .
Tonight i am at work on itineraries for next year so i will be at my computer into the later hours but that is the way it is for me at this time of year. If you want me you know where i am.
I notice that i get a lot of visits to my Blog but very few people add a comment. Why? Let me know....and do not be afraid to make a comment yourself.

  1. I'll bet many of us enjoy the reading but don't feel we have anything profound enough to add. Or maybe some can't figure out how to add a comment.

I just noticed your cluster map of where your visitors are from - I must go explore.....

  2. Thank you Maura. I have wondered about that.. did you find it difficult to figure out? I think that it is maybe the final bit where you are asked to select a profile. I just add my name at the end of my comment and then post as anonymous. I know that is not exactly how you are supposed to do it but i am a real greenhorn at computers. I must as computer expert how i should do it. When i do i will pass it on.

    Just me......Dave
