Owen and Katie at the Cliffs of Moher
Yesterday (Thur) we left Killarney behind as we made our northwards crossing the mighty Shannon river estuary by ferry from Tarbert to Killimer into county Clare. The day once again was really pleasant and it was a great day to view the cliffs in all their glory. The journey through the Burren, that land of limestone mountains, ancient abbeys, ruined churches and castles, was special for my fellow travelers and we were all ready for a break when we finally reached Kinvara. Kinvara is a lovely little harbour town situated on the southern shores of Galway bay. Here you will find great old-fashioned pubs and excellent restaurants Tonight we dined at the Pier Head and enjoyed a fine meal in the most pleasant surroundings with a lovely view of the harbour. This was another wonderful day for all.
