I thought i had better take a photo this morning of my daffodills while they are still there. They really are lovely while they last.

I had to leave my wife to Knock airport today as she was off to England to visit her Mom for a few days. I took a few photos of the St Patrick day preparations as i passed through some of the small towns. The one above was what we call a float and was taken in the little rural town of Kilmaine in Co Mayo.

Didn't go to any parades or such, but had a wonderful day. Had a birthday breakfast with my friend Richard, my brother Richard and his wife Alice, their daughter, Karen and my sister-in-law Karen.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter-in-law, Abra, took me to Olive Garden for lunch.
My friend, Jeannie, took me out for supper. We went to the Grater Tater, a very Irish influenced restaurant. They had a video of Ireland playing while we ate. I could even pick out some of the places they were showing. Everyone thought it was great that there was someone eating with them that had been to Ireland. Maybe I got some of them interested in going over ???
Today another frien, Jean, took me out to lunch. So, as you can see, I've been well fed. As I always am in Ireland. Good food galore there !!
Hope everyone had a wonderful day as well.
What did you and Sue do to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, Dave. I know you took her to the airport, but did you do anything else ?
Hope this finds all well.
Love
Rita
Thanks Rita for your comment and all the news. I did get Sue to the airport at Knock and spent the rest of the day relaxing at home making a lot of calls to all my family in the USA, South Africa, England, and Australia. So as you can see my phone bill will be a large one next time around.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly are looking after yourself well and no doubt that you are being well fed. I suppose i have the same problem but i am working at it eventhough you would hardly notice it. Ah well, food is one of the joys of life..
Take care for now and love to all.
