Car and Driver/Chauffeurdriven vacations in the West of Ireland

The Lakes of Killarney with the Mac Gillycuddy Reeks in the background. What a lovely place to relax and enjoy the good fresh air. Well you can see how relaxed i am.

A beach in Connemara near the town of Clifden. Swimming is very popular on our western seaboard and we do have the Gulf stream to take the edge off the water.

The August Bank Holiday signals the peak of our tourist season and that is just around the corner, but there is still plenty of time to enjoy a trip to Ireland between now and the end of October. The Galway Races (a week of top class steeple chase and flat racing) takes place at the end of July and the begining of August. This is a massive event for the Galway tourist industry and a really great week to come here. The city is packed to capacity and the entertainment nightly is non-stop. You do not have to be into horse racing to enjoy yourself in Galway but if you are then there is no better place to be.

The Rose of Tralee festival will be on now shortly and that also is a huge event for the Tralee area. Girls from all of the world represent their chosen home city and the winner represents Tralee tourism for the following year world wide. This is not a bathing beauty contest eventhough it does not do any harm to be beautiful. Personality plays a very big part in getting the winner over the line and it brings great excitement and celebration to Tralee and the whole Kerry region.

If you are coming my way just give me a call or drop me a line.
