Yes....this is an Irish Blizzard. It started yesterday, and i thought it would never end. It must have lasted at least 10 minutes. I know that in the USA you measure your snow from the top of the drift to the ground below, but we measure across the top of the ground sideways. Therefore, from where i was standing taking this picture, and over to the far fence, we had about 90 feet of snow. Now that, for anywhere, is a lot.
You also measure rain fall in inches, but we measure it in buckets. I am sure that you heard the expression, "It Bucketed down with rain". Now you know where that came from. You are so far Always remember, before traveling, to inform your credit card company that you will be abroad, or you will find that they block transactions that you may try to put through. They are afraid that your card may have been stolen, so let them know in advance. If you are changing dollars to Euro, do it here, and the banks are your best bet. I think that you will get a better exchange rate here than in the USA. Do not change money at the airports. Their rate is higher. Go to the major banks.
