Today we made our way into Connemara, that area of mountains, lakes, bog, and magnificent Atlantic views, and of course, mountain sheep. In the picture above, we have Shamus Ronan, a local sheep farmer, standing proudly in front of his prize winning flock.
Shamus decided that, as he was an expert on castles, he would accompany us to the famous Ashford Castle, which is situated at the top of the Republic of Ireland's largest lake, Lough Corrib. In the picture above we have, Shamus, Nikki and Chris, with the magnificent Ashford Castle in the background.
Baby Harper decided that this place was well worth having a look at, and joined the group for this photo outside the castle.
Just one of the many magnificent rooms inside this world class five star hotel.
A lovely picture of Nikki at the rear of the castle.
A view of the lake from the rear of the castle. This lake is reputed to have 365 islands.
Another picture of the entire group, showing the rear of the castle.
Baby Harper, pictured with her Dad Chris.
A dejected Tim, after i told him that i was not going to show him any more castles, as having seen Ashford, he should be more than happy. Maybe i just might show him one more tomorrow, but that depends.
If you want to see Ireland in comfort, then maybe you should give me a call. I would love to hear from you.
