Our visit to Dingle was blessed with glorious sunshine, and our first view of the Blasket islands
(pictured above) was a treat to behold.

Karlene and Rita, pictured inside what was a communal Beehive hut. The doorway led into another chamber, and the stone on the ground at the entrance to that chamber, covered the entrance to another underground chamber, known as a souterrain. These underground chambers,were a place of refuge in the event of an attack, and also used to store foodstuffs, as the temperatures would be a lot cooler underground.

This crucification scene at Slea Head, is a memorial to all of those who were lost at sea, and those who still earn their livelihood from the sea.
This island is known as the sleeping giant, and look out for it after you round Slea Head on your journey.

A trip to the top of the mountains,and the Conor Pass, is special, as from there you can enjoy the views of both sides of the Dingle peninsula.

The Celtic Steps show in Killarney is a real treat and i highly recommend this.
This picture really does not give you a proper idea of just where this sheep is standing. If he slips he has a drop of hundreds of feet, but he knows what he is doing.
