Chauffeurdriven tour of Dingle 2016

Today we made our way to the fabulous Dingle peninsula in County Kerry. What a change this was weatherwise, as you can see from the picture above. We were joined by Ray and Lisa who had also traveled from the USA to join their friends Henry and Therese.

The wonderful beach at Inch was featured in that great Irish movie, "Ryan;s Daughter. In the group picture above we have the full team, from the left, Therese, Henry, Ray, Lisa, and, my humility will not allow me to name the handsome man on the right.

Here we are again at the tip of the peninsula with the Blasket Islands in the background offshore. Don't they look happy.

This lovely scene at Slea Head was featured in Ryan's Daughter also.
My very well fed group at Eileen Harrington's restaurant on the harbour front in Dingle. If you do visit Dingle, this is a great placed for your fish dishes. Does Henry look like he is putting on a little weight already? Maybe it's the coat.
Funghi the Dolphin, inhabits the waters of the harbour in Dingle and attracts huge number

s of people who come here daily to be entertained by his acrobatics.  He is a real afvourite and a great performer.

Here we have Lisa and Ray, sitting on the wall, 800ft above the valley below at the Conor Pass. This place is twinned with Santa Barbara in California, where Henry happens to come from. Henry seemed a little annoyed as he said he had never been asked about that twinning.
Finally, all of us together, sitting on the wall at the Conor Pass.
This was another great day, and a very enjoyable one. Tomorrow we head for the Blarney Castle, and later, on to Kinsale.
