Irish chauffeurdriven vacations with Dave Hogan

This is the time of the year when our first visitors begin to arrive from the USA, many in time for the St Patrick's Day celebrations. Henry and Therese arrived to me at Shannon very early this morning, and we made our way directly to the awesome Cliffs of Moher, which we had all to ourselves, as you can see in the picture above. It was misty but not cold, and the air was so clean and fresh. My new arrivals were in great shape after what must have been a really arduous journey all the way from California via Newark. We will be traveling together for the next eight days, and their friends will be joining us this coming Sunday, so you can follow along as we travel.

We thought that this sign would make a nice background to our photo at the Falls Hotel in Ennistymon, close to the Cliffs. The Falls looked very beautiful, as we have had a lot of rain recently. The sign also looked well....but where are the donkeys?

St Brigid is the patroness of Ireland, and here we have Henry and myself, pictured together at her holy well, close to the Cliffs of Moher. Many people come on pilgrimage to this well, especially in February, as the first of February is her feast day. In this picture, i am spoiling a lovely shot of Henry at the well, with St Brigid in the glass case behind us.

Now there is a nicer picture. I better get rid of the first one or people will be cancelling tours.

Despite this being an overcast day, we all had a really nice time, and made our way to Galway city where Henry and Therese will be spending the night. Tomorrow we are on our way into Connemara.

If you are planning a visit to Ireland, and need someone to take you around, then why not have a look at my website and then maybe give me a call. There is now better way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Emerald Isle.
