Killarney, and Ring of Kerry, on Chauffeurdriven tour With Dave Hogan

Monday we left Kinvara and Galway behind as we began our journey south on our way to the magical town of Killarney. We made a stop at Bunratty Castle on the way,as Finn had to see the castle where they will be enjoying their Banquet on Friday night. I think that it measured up to his satisfaction.
One of the highlights of our day in Killarney was a journey into the amazing Gap of Dunloe, an ancient road through the Killarney mountains, which had been carved out by a giant glacier during the ice age.
In the picture above we have Judah, Finn, and Lisa, with two lovely ponies on the hillside behind them.

A distant view of the Gap of Dunloe.

Leprechauns are hard to find, but this was our lucky day today, (Tuesday), when we found this little guy at a Leprechaun crossing on the roadside on the Ring of Kerry. He was not in the mood to talk to us but that is not unusual.

Lisa, Judah, and Jim managed to trap him, as you can see in this rare photo. They thought that their luck was in, but, as these clever Leprechauns do, he fooled us all, and escaped. No crock of gold this time.

This was another great couple of days and we are all enjoying our time together. Tomorrow we are on our way to one of my own favourite places, the Dingle peninsula.
