Getting ready for St Patrick's day in Ireland

Is there any other day that is celebrated like St Patrick's day? No matter where you are in this world, it seems that there are people who want to join with us here in Ireland to commemorate our very special Irish day. I suppose it is just that us Irish found it so hard to stay at home, and we brought St Patrick to all of the four corners of the world in our travels. I do not think that it was the famine alone that caused us to wander.  Our monks maybe led the way, and the whole emigration thing just had a magical attraction for many of us. There were practical reason no doubt, but many left simply because they had that wanderlust in their blood. There were always those friends and relations coming back on holidays, and they told us many stories about their lives and their successes in these far off places, and some of what they told us seemed to be wonderful, but it was not always as they relayed to us.We Irish always seem to have viewed the " Far Off Hills" as Greener, and our friends and family members hit off for far off places, and then we had to go after them to seek our fortune.
I myself never experienced famine times, thank God, but i was up and away to England when i was in my teens. I did not stay there too long as i had things too good at home, and i was not long in finding out that all that i had heard about "Over there" was not as appealing as i had thought. I have been to many places since, but Ireland is still the only place for me.
Ireland is truly a land of colour, and it is no wonder that so many people envy us our rainbows.
A land steeped in history and historic memorabilia, much of that still standing proudly today, as you travel around our beautiful rural landscape.
,
In order to travel on our rather narrow and winding roads you do have to keep them clear. Here i am removing this stone from the roadside in the mountains of Kerry.
Everybody wants to see the cliffs of Moher, and who could blame them.

From the rugged cliffs, to the magical Ladies View, high in the mountains of Kerry, my Dutch pals, Emiel, Mariette, and their son Marten, would agree with me that Ireland will not disappoint you.

If you want to see it for yourself, why not contact me, and we can get to work on how you too can make your dreams come true.
I would love to hear from you.
