Kinvara to Killarney with the Ritchey's.

Diane and Terry, posing in front of the famous Dun Guaire Castle in Kinvara before we set off for Killarney yesterday morning. Note the beautiful blue sky.
Adare is regularly voted as one of Ireland's most beautiful small towns, and rightly so. Here we have Terry and Diane standing in front of the twelfth century Trinitarian Abbey in the main street of Adare. This is one of my favourite old churches, and beautifully restored and maintained, and must be one of the most popular churches for weddings in the country today.
The famous thatched cottages on the main street in Adare contribute to the amazing popularity of this lovely town. You pass through Adare when traveling south from Galway to Killarney.
On reaching Killarney, our journey today took us high into the Kerry mountains, to Mol's Gap, on the Ring of Kerry, where we have Terry and Diane pictured together, with the Kerry mountains in the background. The Gap in the mountains, is the famous Gap of Dunloe, where they will be enjoying their fabulous horse and jaunting car tour tomorrow, Tuesday. That tour will end, with a breathtaking boat journey down through the lakes of Killarney, and back into Killarney at Ross castle.
Making our way back down the mountain road to Killarney once again i took this picture of my happy pair, obviously enjoying this beautiful day together.,
Terry and Diane, sharing a light-hearted moment at Ladies View, the spot where Queen Victoria stood, and proclaimed this view of the lakes as the "most beautiful in the Kingdom".
Yes, that is me joining Diane for a picture. Did i put on a little weight since you last saw me? Maybe it is just that the photo was taken at a bad angle? I should have got Terry to take another one maybe. Aww well, too late now.
Terry came out well in this one, but again, not a great one of me. Maybe it's the shirt? I look shorter than i really am also. Terry must have been standing on a more elevated spot.
