March 2019 Nancy Coyne

Back on the road again, as we begin our journey into a New Year of touring this wonderful country.
Our team are rested and ready to go again, and already our books are filling up for the season ahead. We still have availability, so if you are interested, then now is the time to let us know.
Our first tour covered the St Patrick's day period, and it was my pleasure to meet and greet once again, Nancy and Sharon, who toured with me back in 2008. What lovely ladies to start off our new year with. We spent St Patrick's day in Killarney, where the ladies got to see a real old style parade through the streets of that great Kerry town.

Sharon, on the left, and Nancy, on their arrival in Shannon. Not the best picture i have to admit, but at least you get to see that all was green for the occasion.

One of our special touring days was spent in the magical Gap of Dunloe, a very narrow road through the Kerry mountains, which was carved out by a giant glacier during the ice age.
We were blessed with lovely weather, cool, but with plenty of sunshine. You can see the light snow on the Kerry mountains in the backgrounds.
Nancy taking a selfie outside the lovely old church deep in the Gap of Dunloe in the Black Valley.

This lady, waiting for her husband while he plays with their dog in this mountain lake in the Gap.
This photo i took of the ladies in Waterville, as they posed with Charlie Chaplin. This was his favourite holiday destination, and he was so popular with the locals, that they erected this statue to commemorate him.
Happy St Patrick's day, as these ladies enjoy being decked out for our very special holiday.

If you do get to Killarney, make sure you dine at my favourite fish and chips restaurant, Quinlan's, on the main street. We had the battered cod, with chips and mushy peas, one of my favourite veggies.
Another group of holiday makers from the USA, having their photo taken in the main lobby of the lovely Killarney Plaza Hotel, my choice for my tourists.
Finally, a picture of the winding Gap road. You can really enjoy this journey on the horse drawn jaunting cars with one of the local jarveys.

What a lovely and most enjoyable begining i had to 2019 with these two ladies. It brought back many happy memories of out tour back in 2008 and how nice it was to see these ladies, looking just as i remembered them. Maybe its the golf they love so much, but i think it is just that they are such a happy couple.
Thank you Nancy and Sharon. Maybe we can do it all again someday. You will always be more than welcome.
