Preparing for touring season 2020 with Dave Hogan and Dovechauffeurdrive.

Already we are preparing for the 2020 Touring season at Dovechauffeurdrive, with great expectations for another bumper year, like the 2019 one just ending recently. The enquiries are already coming in, so if you are seriously thinking about coming my way, then please make contact soon, as i hate to have to disappoint any latecomers. We cover all of the Republic of Ireland and all our guides and drivers are fully trained and qualified, and most importantly, fully insured, which is something you better be aware of when selecting someone to look after all the necessary details of your tour. We are also members of the ICDA, the Irish Chauffeurdrive Association, which only accepts Chauffeurdrive companies who have all the necessary requirements.
I myself was born and reared in the Republic of Ireland, in the heart of that area now known famously as The Wild Atlantic Way. It is that region all along the Western seaboard of this beautiful island of ours, all along the Atlantic ocean, a land of mighty mountains, magnificent seascapes, boglands, lakes and rivers, and littered with small towns and villages, where you meet the real Irish. Those people who still speak our native Irish language, and people who survived the worst of our horrific famine back in the eighteen hundreds.
How special it is to be able to mingle with these most friendly natives in an old style Irish pub, and strike up a conversation over your pint of Guinness, with some traditional Irish music to complete the perfect setting. This for me is a real Irish holiday, and for so many of my friends from the USA who have come home to see for themselves, all these wonderful places and things they have heard so much about since their childhood.

The following photos are just some samples of some of the wonderful sights you can see on your way along the Wild Atlantic Way.
Above,  a beautifully preserved old Norman style round tower castle near the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, with the Aran Islands lying in the wild Atlantic on the horizon.
The statues commemorating Annie Moore and her two little brothers in 1892
The very popular Torc waterfall in the Killarney National Park in County Kerry, on the Ring of Kerry.
À freshly cut trailer of Irish pete,or turf as it is locally known, waiting to be taken home for the winter fires.
One of the traditional Irish fishing boats, in the tiny harbour in Kinvara, on the shores of Galway Bay.
A road on the Conor Pass in Dingle. Do you really want to drive roads like this yourself? Maybe you might enjoy it more with us at the wheel.
One of my favourite pictures, this cow, standing on top of this loose stone wall at the back of my garden, enjoying a feed of ivy. She is roughly five feet off the ground here and how she managed it , i do not know.
The restores Ross Castle on the shores of Lough Laune in Killarney.

One of the ancient beehive huts on the Dingle Peninsula, once upon a time, home to ancient fishermen and farmers.
And finally here we have one of Galways most famous sights, the Spanish Arch, once upon a time, one of the entrance gates to the old Anglo Norman city of Galway. This was the place of my birth, where i went to school, learned my Irish language, became a native speaker, learned my music, my Irish history, and grew to love just everything about Ireland, and about being Irish.
I would love to hear from you, and maybe you just might want to come tour with me, and learn a lot more as we travel together. I know you will love this adventure.
