Culbertson in Blarney and Midleton May 2019

Today was a very special day for my group, especially Linda, as we were off to Blarney and that famous Blarney Stone, where her heart was set on kissing that magical stone. The men were more interested in heading for Midleton, and the famous Jameson whiskey distillery.

Pictured together on entering the grounds of the Blarneycastle. From the left, Dean, Linda, Barbara, and Gary.
Another picture, but now with the Blarney Castle in the background, now on their way into the castle to kiss the stone.
Who is this? Well Barbara was wearing a white jacket so i am assuming that this was her.
I was to find out later that Linda also did kiss the stone, but that her photos are exclusive to some fashion magazine back in the states, and will be released at a later date. The men chickened out on the stone kissing, and both claimed that ongoing back injuries and allergic reactions to lipsticks etc were their main cause of concern, and therefore they abstained.
                                                          Another picture inside the castle.
The men could not wait now to get to Midleton and Jameson's, both stressing that whiskey was a form of antiseptic, and that it would be wise for the girls to make sure to take all the samples on offer at Jameson's, and if they were not able to drink them all, that they would give them a hand so that nothing would be wasted. What nice men.
From Midleton, we made our way finally to Kinsale, and our lovely hotel, the Kinsale Hotel which is located in a picturesque location on the outskirts of the town.
Here they are again, seated on the patio at the rear of the hotel. At this point in time the ladies insisted that they were hungry and that there was to be no more drinking until they had their meal.
You will of course have noticed that there are no drinks on the table here. I must say that the guys did not appear to be too happy. Maybe they had more than enough in Jameson's.

Sadly, i have to say, is my final day with these lovely new friends i have had the pleasure of touring with for the past week  as we make our way to the renowned Bunratty Castle tomorrow where they will be dining at a Medieval Banquet tomorrow night, before flying out from Shannon airport on Saturday morning. We did have so much fun, and they enjoyed every minute of their tour. Thank you sincerely guys. You were great.
