Humphries and Spauldings in Killarney

This morning, we left Kinvara as we began our journey to Killarney. Our first stop on this journey was the beautiful, and most popular town of Adare. Adare always features in the winners list of Ireland's most beautiful towns in our annual tidy towns competition.Today we were blessed with glorious sunshine as the May bank holiday weekend kicked in.

My friends pictured, by the Tourist center in Adare. From the left, Paula, Mac, George, and Susan,
Pictured here, with the magnificent Trinitarian Abbey, dating back to the early twelve hundreds, in the background. This is a really beautiful church, and is now one of the most popular choices for weddings.
Unfortunately, this picture is a little dark, but my flash must not have been on.
Adare is renowned for its beautiful thatched cottages, pictured here in the background.

Another nice picture of my pals, and the cottages. Note the village water pump on Mac's left hand, and of course, the beautiful flowers.
The park, in the center of Adare is also a lovely place to spend a little time. From the left, we have, George, Susan, Paula and Mac.
On reaching Killarney, and checking into the Killarney Plaza Hotel, i left them to enjoy a snack and then to explore the shops, and maybe a pub or two for the guys.
Tomorrow it looks like we will be spending on the magical Gap of Dunloe tour in the horse drawn buggies and the boat ride through the fabulous lakes of Killarney. Make sure to come along.
