I took this photo the other day when we were out enjoying the antics of Fungi the Dolphin. It was great fun and i must say that you do not need to be a child to enjoy this treat.
I continue to be extremely busy and i feel so fortunate to be able to say that, at this point in time, with all the gloomy reports of recession. This has been my busiest year to date and already the enquiries are coming in for next year. My advice to anybody planning a chauffeurdrive holiday in Ireland would be to make your enquiries as soon as possible so that you will not be disappointed later on. Once you book your dates you can then work on fine tuning your itinerary through the winter months.
Early this week i have another group coming in to Dublin where they will spend a couple of days enjoying all the main sights of this great city. I always recommend the Hop-on Hop-off buses as a means of getting around to these sites. They are great value and you get a ticket that covers you for the full day. They stop off at all the main attractions such as Christchurch, Dublin Castle, the Guinness brewery and Trinity College, and many more important and historic places. Flights from the USA usually arrive early in the morning so you will have plenty of time on your first day here to see many of these places. Depending on how much time you have for your holiday you may feel that one day may be enough in Dublin so that you will have more time in the countryside, where my heart is. Ireland is a beautiful country and yet it takes a lot of time to get around and many people make the mistake of thinking that just because you have only maybe a hundred miles to cover you will do it in a couple of hours. Not in Ireland you wont. Many of our roads are narrow and winding and you will be lucky to average 30 miles per hour, and even less when you allow for stops. Leave yourself time. Better still....get a chauffeur.
