Some West of Ireland views.
A Connemara Lake in the evening.
The fjord at Leenane and Killiary Harbour.
A mountain road with the sea in the distance. We do have lovely clouds.
I love the Western seaboard, the rugged coastline, the mountains and valleys, the lakes and boglands, the magical country towns and villages, and of course the country people. They are indeed the salt of the earth.
Our weather continues to be mild without any great amounts of rain or cold. We have had a most unusual Winter and, compared to last year, it was a blessing.
St Patricks day is just around the corner and i will be slowly but surely getting into another new season of my chauffeurdrive touring. I do not know of any other saint who is so widely celebrated as St Patrick is. This year i hear that they will be colouring the Niagra Falls green, along with many prominent building and towers, and even the London Eye. We will have our usual influx of Americans coming to celebrate with us along with many bands from the USA, with of course their high-kicking majorettes. They do add a lot of colour to our parades and they are always a welcome sight. Nobody parties like the Irish so if you are coming our way remember to pace yourself on the night as keeping up with our party goers here could be disastrous. Just make sure that you remember that our Guiness is quiet strong, not to mention our whiskey.
