The picture on top shows the the magnificent Adare Manor, a five star hotel in the heart of one of Ireland's most popular smaller towns, and just above, Bunratty castle where the popular medieval banquets are held throughout the season.
I am once again enjoying a little break as we have a Bank Holiday weekend here this weekend. The Galway Races are over once again and they were a great success despite the bad weather. It gives me a chance to enjoy the Olympic Games which are providing some really great entertainment.We are all keeping our fingers crossed here in Ireland for Katie Taylor, our World champion boxer, who is now into the semifinals in her weight division. She is just fantastic and it is hard to believe that she will not come away with the gold medal. What a great girl she is, and such a great model of what a true sportsperson should be. She is doing us proud.
September and October can be really nice months in Ireland so if you are thinking about a possible late holiday just give me a callm or send me a message.
A beautiful field of Poppies not fare from my home. What a shame that they do not last long.
