Killarney and the Gap of Dunloe on chauffeurdriven vacation/holiday.

Today was the Rasmussen's day in the Gap of Dunloe, that wonderful mountain Icelandic gorge which was carved out of the Kerry mountains by a giant glacier during the ice age. Here we have Pat and Bruce aboard their horse drawn buggy waiting to begin their adventure.

A view of the journey ahead.

One of the beautiful lakes that you encounter on this epic journey. This is not a road for cars, other than the cars of the locals who live in the valleys.
Another of the beautiful lakes.

A fellow traveller along the way.
Now the second leg of this unforgettable journey as they board their boat for their voyage down through the three lakes of Killarney.
On of the small bridges that have to be navigated on the journey.
Preparing to pass under another bridge.
Finally, out on the largest of the lakes, Lough Leane, as they make their approach to Ross Castle, where their journey ends.
Bruce and Pat, pictured on dry land back at Ross castle, after a wonderful day in glorious sunshine.
I think that the lovely smiles say it all.
