Killarney and the South West of Ireland with chauffeurdriven tour

This morning i collected Pat and Bruce Rasmussen at Shannon airport after their long journey from the West coast of the USA. They were tired, but delighted to have made it to Ireland at last to begin their tour with me. Our destination this morning was Killarney, which was about a two hour journey from Shannon.
The picture above shows Bruce and Pat outside their hotel, the Killarney Plaza, on our arrival there.

Pictured inside the lobby at the lovely Plaza hotel.

Killarney is a wonderful town, with much to see and enjoy, and we made our way straight away to the famous Muckross House, where Queen Victoria stayed during her brief visit to Killarney. Her husband unfortunately became very ill and they had to leave again in a hurry.
Here we have Bruce and Pat pictured in front of the magnificent house at Muckross.

The views from the house are breathtaking, with the lakes of Killarney and the Kerry mountains in the background. The gardens here are also special.

Here we have Pat and Bruce enjoying a walk through the wonderful gardens.

This giant of a tree would have been there in Queen Victoria's time, and what a lovely tree it is. The trees, further in the background, are mainly rhododendron trees, and when they are in bloom in the early Summer they are a sight to behold.

Here we have a view of the back of the great house. If you look closely you can see the fire escape, which was especially installed for the Queen, as she had a dread of being burnt alive due to a scary episode in her youth. The display of flowers here today was really nice, and Bruce did enjoy them, as he likes his gardening himself.

By the time we finished at Muckross, everybody was tired, and we were ready for a rest break before venturing out for an evening meal later. I look forward to hearing from them tomorrow as to how my suggestions for their evening meal turned out, and i bet that it was good. I do know the best places to eat.

If you need me for anything, just send me a message, and i will see what i can do for you.
