From the left: Paula,Stan, Donna, and Gary, pictured in the lovely town of Westport today.
St Patrick had a strong connection with Mayo and the town of Westport, and the Holy mountain, Croagh Patrick, where he spent forty days and forty nights in prayer, is located just outside this town.
We also spent time at the Museum of country life on the outskirts of Castlebar, and here we have Paula, pictured inside the museum with the famous currach fishing boat on display in the background. This boat was a favourite with the fishermen on our west coast.
Our final visit was to the holy shrine at Knock, where Our Lady appeared in 1879, and which is a recognised Shrine, similar to Lourdes or Fatima, and is credited with many miraculous cures.
