This weekend i was in Killarney enjoying the excitement of the Annual Killarney Harley Davidson Bike Fest. This was the 10th year for this particular event and we were blessed with the continuing glorious sunshine which has been with us for sometime now. Long may it last.
Just some of huge crowds who were here to enjoy the festivities. I was tempted to go on one of the bike demo rides, but unfortunately i did not get the chance, as they were all booked up for the time i had available. I will make sure to get my name in early next year. However i did purchase a ticket for the Harley bike draw, so who knows, i may have my own bike to enjoy that ride.
We also had a dog show to enjoy in front of the Brehon Hotel, a sister hotel to the Glen Eagle, where the main bike events are held every year. This beautiful dog pictured above was of Belgian origin and won in the puppy division. Puppy? Yes, just eleven months old. He was gorgeous, and very friendly.
This little fellow was a real beaut, and of course won a top prize in his own division.
This Newfoundland fellow was the overall winner, and just wandered around freely, without any leash at all. He was a real cool dude, and deserved his top prize.
I really enjoyed the day here on Saturday, but the Bike Fest continues over the bank holiday weekend, and if you are anywhere in the vicinity, i would recommend a visit to Killarney and the Glen Eagle hotel.
Please note the sunshine again.....i am tiring of defending Irish weather. I always tell people to look back over my previous posts and see for themselves just how many lovely days we have here in Ireland. They are there to be seen.
