Irish chauffeurdriven vacation with Dovechauffeurdrive and Dave Hogan

On Saturday we began our journey into the Burren of County Clare, and the mighty Cliffs of Moher. We were fortunate with the weather, as we had lots of nice warm sunshine, with the occasional shower. In this picture, we have, from the left, Bob, Roxan, and of course your's truly. I took this picture on the Corkscrew hill, on our way to Lisdoonvara, the famous matchmaking town.
The girls, pictured with the statues of the musicians and dancers, in the center of Lisdoonvarna. On the left we have Megan, and on the right, Casey.
From the left, Rob, Colleen, Bob, Roxan, Dorothy, and at the back, on the left, Megan, and Casey on the right.
The annual matchmaking festival, which takes place for six weeks, beginning in September, is just about to take place, and the town will be buzzing from now until right into October. If you are looking for a husband, or a wife, this is the place to be. That is what matchmaking is all about, and this has been happening in Lisdoonvarna for centuries. The professional matchmakers are waiting for you there, and maybe the partner you have been looking for.
All together at the Cliffs. What a lovely sight. From the left, back row, we have Rob, Bob,Colleen, Roxan, and Dorothy, with Casey and Megan in front.
Here we have Bob, pictured with the ancient Norman tower castle in Doolin in the background. This is an unusual castle, as it is a circular block, and is located overlooking the Aran Islands on the outskirts of the lovely Doolin town. You can just about see the islands in the background, and if you wish to catch a ferry to the islands, then this is a great place to catch your boat.
Waiting impatiently for our grub, in Gus O'Connor's pub in Doolin, and what a great feed of Irish stew most of my gang had there.
Dorothy just adored these black donkey's, in Ballyvaughan. I think that she would have loved to bring one home with her.
A close-up of this lovely friendly fella.
Unfortunately there was a drain between the donkeys and the girls so they could not pet them as they would have liked. From the left we have, the donkey of course, then Megan, and Casey.
Tonight we dined in the Pier Head restaurant in Kinvara, a fine restaurant, if you want fresh fish and seafood, and the best of steaks. Here we have Rob, looking very smart, and the "full of life" Megan in the background.
Our happy party, all together at our Pier Head table. From the left, Rob, Megan, Colleen, Casey, Dorothy, then myself, and my wife Sue, Bob and Roxan, This was a most enjoyable get together, and everybody really loved their food, not to mention some quiet lively Irish beverages. The perfect end to another wonderful day in Ireland. Tonight they stayed in the lovely Kinvara Guest House once again, a really nice and comfortable place to stay if you do get to Kinvara. You can even do that with me if you wish.
Tomorrow we are off the Killarney, and further great adventures. Come along if you wish.
