The Donnelly family in Killarney, and Muckross farms

Toady was a most enjoyable day for all of us as Rob and Colleen, Casey and Megan and myself, visited the famous Muckross House, where Queen Victoria stayed during her visit to Killarney, during the eighteen hundreds. The tour of the restored farmhouses, and the magical farm tour, was a real treat for all, especially the children. Bob and Roxan, and Dorothy, had some shopping to do, so we let them off to do their own thing.
One of the restored cottages on the farm house tour. This was the medium farmers cottage, probably forty to fifty acres of land.
Two fine Irish wolfhounds, used mainly for hunting in bygone days.
As you tour the farms, you will find the farmers wives, baking bread, and making butter, simply demonstrating the way things used to be. Here we have a lady making butter.
Rob, Colleen, Megan and Casey, standing with these fine Clydesdale horses, who will take you for a carriage ride around some of the farm roads.

All aboard and ready to go.

Two lazy and sleepy border collie pups, having a break from the tourists.
Last night, everybody attended the wonderful Celtic Steps show at the racecourse complex in Killarney. This is a wonderful show, featuring the best of Irish music, singing, and dancing, and is a must while in Killarney.
Bob, Colleen, and Roxan, waiting for the show to commence. Megan seems to be enjoying herself.
Some of the performers on stage. These dancers include many world champions.
Casey and Megan enjoyed the show so much that they had to have their photos taken with this lovely Irish dancer afterwards.
Another lovely picture of the girls, accompanied by Sean Murphy, the producer of the show, who also is active in the show, playing the guitar, banjo, and Bodhran, (the ancient Irish drum).

When Bob found out that this dancer was from County Mayo, he just had to have his picture taken with her. Well after all, Bob's ancestry is from Mayo also.
From left to right we have, Bob, Roisin, Megan, Morgan, the organist- pianist, Casey, and Sharon Langston, the wonderful accordion player.
