Vaillancourt to Killarney June 2019

This morning, in glorious sunshine,we left Kinvara behind, as we began our journey to the south west of Ireland, and the lovely town of Killarney. What lovely weather we are having.
Our first stop was in one of Ireland 's most popular towns, the historic town of Adare. Adare is famous for its beautiful town, it's thatched cottages in the main street, and the magnificent Adare Manor, which is now a gorgeous five star hotel. You cannot miss the wonderful Trinitarian Abbey in the center of the town, and this church dates back to the twelve hundreds, and is now one of Ireland's most popular wedding churches.
Brian and Allison are all set to get married next year, and i think that maybe they just might be tempted to come back to Ireland and get married in this beautiful church. I think that they already look like they are a perfect fit for his setting.
Deborah's Irish ancestors were the Sheehan's from this corner of the country, and here she is, already at home, outside Sheehan's pub in Killarney. Could they be her family? Why not, all Sheehan's are related somewhere along the line.
Ladies View, on the Ring of Kerry is one of this regions treasures, and here we have my full party, sitting on a rock at Ladies View, high in the Kerry mountains today. This was where Queen Victoria stood with her handmaidens during her visit to Killarney in the eighteen hundreds, and proclaimed this view as the most beautiful view in the kingdom.,
From the left we have, Bill, Deborah, Traci, Allison and Brian.
Another picture i took earlier today, with the lovely Trinitarian Abbey in the background.

Another of our earlier moments in Adare today, with my friends happy and smiling outside one of Adare's thatched cottages. Is there anywhere as lovely as Ireland in the sunshine? We do get a little rain, by the way.
You just have to love the idea of an Irish vacation. Drop me a line and we can talk anytime.
