Mac and the gang in Dingle.

Another beautiful day in Ireland, and i hope that all of those Ireland saboteurs who continually knock our weather, are watching, and taking note. I think that they are neighbors of ours who are jealous of all the wonderful tourists who are coming our way, are trying to divert them to their own countries. No chance guys, we have too much to offer here in the Emerald Isle.
Eat your hearts out. Dingle was where we were today and what a beautiful place to be. I am fortunate to be spending my time with people who really appreciate the magnificence of what is now widely known as the Wild Atlantic Way. Not only are they enjoying the scenery, and the rugged landscape, but they are eating their way through the west, as though there is another famine due here any day. i cannot say that i blame them, as i am willingly joining in. The food here in Ireland is second to none. Our fish is always as fresh as fresh can be, as nowhere in Ireland is far from the sea. All of our meat is free range as the cattle and sheep roam the lands freely, enjoying the lovely fresh green grass we are noted for,
Paula, on the left, and Susan, enjoying a visit to the Killarney golf and fishing club this morning. The lakes of Killarney, and the Kerry mountains, are in the background.
Our first stop off was here at inch beach. A beautiful stretch of sand ,which featured in the movie "Ryan's Daughter", which featured Robert Mitchum and Sarah Miles.
"The green green grass of home", featuring, from the left, George, Susan, Paula, and Mac.

Now Mac looks a little short in this pic, but take it from me, this is a big guy. I just made him sit on the wall so that we could see the mountains.
Mistress of all she surveys, Paula taking in the awesome scenery.

What a lovely picture of Paula, with her little baby lamb.
I just had to get in on the act myself. I have no fear of wild animals.
Just like me, Mac is fearless too. As a matter of fact the only one he fears is Paula.

These youngster were really having a ball, as they played with all of these lovely little lambs.

The famous Blasket Islands offshore at Slea Head,at the tip of the peninsula. Springfield Mass.and Hungry Hill, became the destination for these people when they finally abandoned the islands back in the nineteen hundreds,as that was where previous emigrants from these islands had settled many years earlier.
Another picture of the Blaskets. The island in the distance in the middle of the photo is known as the sleeping giant, as it does resemble a giant lying on his back.
More pics to follow. Stayed tuned in.

Celtic Steps Irish dance and traditional music show.

Tonight was a very special treat as my friends were treated to a great Irish traditional music and dance show in the auditorium at the Killarney Race course venue.
A line of the dancers on stage during the closing sequence.
A rousing finale send off from an appreciative audience,

Susan, third from the left, and Paula, far right, pictuered with some of the dancers after the show.
Susan and Paula, pictured again here with more of the cast, and including at either end, the two directors of the Show, on the far left, David Rea, and on the far right, Sean Murphy. If you do get to Killarney, make sure that you get to see this show. The talent on view is superb, and includes many world champion dancers.
