Back on the road again and visiting the ancient Beehive Huts in Dingle County Kerry, once upon a time the homes of farmers and fishermen, and the monks of old. These huts had no windows and the fire was lit in the center of the floor. The main door would then be protected by whatever they had available in timber or large bushes. The were constructed in a fashion that any rain water would be prevented from flowing inwards and would just flow back outwards instead. They were remarkably dry inside, and the winds would not penetrate either.
We are once again back in full flow and looking forward now to a busy season ahead. Now is the time to contact me if you are planning on coming my way this season. Our weather has been really nice and right now the sun is shining.
