Chauffeurdriven tours in Ireland West and South West with Dove and Dave Hogan

A renewal day in Ireland for Karen and Ralph.

From the left: Back row.   Mike and Bill

Sitting: Trinity, Ralph, and Karen.

My latest group arrived in Galway last evening and we met up this morning to begin our tour. Here they are, pictured together, before our main event today, which was a renewal of wedding vows for Ralph and Karen. This was a really lovely event with only the couple themselves, myself and my wife, and those pictured in the photo above, present.

Karen with my wife Sue in a happy pose before the renewal ceremony.
As you can see in this picture, Karen spared nothing in her efforts to make this a memorable occasion, and that is exactly what it turned out to be.
This renewal ceremony was a simple blessing on their union of many years, and what a nice idea that was.

This old church, where the ceremony took place, is the oldest existing parish church in this district, being over two hundred years old.
Karen's son Mike, walks his Mom Karen up the aisle in an Irish church, a dream come true.

Trinity read from scripture, and did a wonderful job.

Mike, Karen's son, also did a reading, which was again special.

The ceremony involved a binding of the couples right hands with a cord (pictured above) signifying, and confirming, their union.

Here we have a group shot, which included myself in the back row, to the right behind Karen.

The lovely lady, pictured on the harbour front in Kinvara. with the ancient Dun Guaire castle in the background.

The group, pictured together with the pier in the background.

This old castle is a most popular backdrop for photos, and i think that it was a lovely setting for the happy couple.

And finally: The whole happy group together.

Karen and Ralph have toured with me on numerous occasions before, and it was Karen's love for Ireland which led her to a strong desire to plan this very special day for herself and Ralph in the land of her ancestors.
It was my pleasure to help her and her husband Ralph to fulfill their dreams in this land of saints and scholars.
What a lovely day it was for all.
