Irish vacation with prvate driver/chauffeurdriven tours

After the excitement of the renewal ceremony yesterday, our journey today to the Cliffs of Moher was a breath of fresh air, in more was than one. The sun shone happily on my group as though in celebration of the special occasion, and here you can see my party enjoying themselves at the Cliffs.

I took the above picture on our way up the Corkscrew Hill in the heart of the Burren. This region was once upon a time the ocean floor, and hence the limestone covered mountains which you can see in the background. You can also see a part of the famous Galway Bay here.

A view from the top of the cliffs.
The pillar of stone down below is known as the stack, and is a haven for thousands of sea birds. You can also see a small motor launch in the water. These boats take people from the harbour at Doolin close by to view the Cliffs.
Another view of these wonderful cliffs with Trinity and Mike having a field day taking pictures.
Our lovely hotel, the Killarney Plaza,  right in the centre of Killarney.

If traditional Irish music is your thing, then Sheehans pub, right beside the Plaza, is the place to go.Here we have a group of musicians, in full flight, entertaining a packed pub last night.

Bill and Ralph enjoying the fresh air and glorious sunshine at the Cliffs yesterday.

This once again was a great day. Now for the wonders of Killarney.
