Chauffeurdriven vacations/holidays in Ireland 2014

I have a good friend, who is a wonderful artist, and i am going to ask him to do a painting of this wonderful picture, which i took myself while travelling to the Healy Pass in county Kerry the other day. In the distance you can see the sun on the mountains, with Kenmare Bay further on in the background. We are at quiet a height here, and you can make out some tiny farmhouses in the valley below, and one on the hillside just to the left of the lake. It is quiet apparent from the way that this sheep posed for me, that she does this kind of thing regularly, and must have been trained by the Irish Tourist Board.
It is not uncommon to find animals on the road in rural areas. Just be kind to them please, and slow down, as they may panic and run out in front of you, if you scare them.

I have not come across many of these guys on the roads lately, but you never know. The Leprechauns get up to a lot of funny tricks here in  Ireland. These two i pictured at the Fota Island Animal reserve close to Cove on the outskirts of Cork city.

I took this picture of my friend Carolyn beside these giant Rhubarb plants on Garinish Island in Glengarriff. This is a wonderful place to visit, and is just a short boat ride from the shore. This bay is heated by the gulf stream, and the island is home to many beautiful tropical plants and trees.

If you are still debating as to whether or not you will come to Ireland this year, then it is not too late, so give me a call and i can help you to make up your mind. My touring runs right into the end of October , and beyond sometimes. The Autumn here can be nicer than the Summer sometimes, and if you are the type of person who prefers moderate temperatures, then the Fall may just be the time for you.

Just give me an idea of what you have in mind, how long you can spend here, and where in the country you would like to visit. Once i have a general idea i can take it from there. Maye you have ancestral connections and want to visit the ares where your people came from, even if you do not have accurate information, we can do this, and it is amazing how much people get from this experience. I often think that the spirits of your ancestors are somehow welcoming you home.

Ireland is waiting to deliver for you that special Irish adventure that you have always wanted.
