Cobh, (Cove), Fota island, to Bunratty with Carolyn Osborn. on Irish chauffeurdriven vacation

Today we left Kinsale as we set out on the final leg of this particular tour. We were on our way to Cove, the historic port of Cork, from where the vast majority of our Irish emigrants departed on their way to, what for them, would hopefully be a new life.We had to cross the river Lee to get to the east side of the port where Cove is situated. In this picture we have Carolyn standing on the deck of the small ferry at Passage West,
Gavin and Carolyn, seated at the bronze statue of the Moore children, the first emigrants to register at Ellis Island.
An Irish naval vessel, on her way out of Cork harbour to patrol our coastal waters.
Feeding the Giraffes at Fota Island animal reserve near Cove. This is an open style reserve, with a great selection of animals, and well worth a visit, when you are in this area.

This Kangaroo looks very much at home as he relaxes in the sun.

What about these stork guys. They should be right up there in your earliest memories.

Gavin had to feed these unusual breed of ducks. They did like him though, and were following him around, even after they had eaten all the seeds.
Can you find the Gibbon? There were actually two of them in these trees, and what a lot of noise they were making as they swung around trough the trees. You may find it easier to spot one in the next picture.
There he is.....what a time they were having.
This lady was feeding the Giraffes from these long leafy branches.
The Zebras looked very happy as they grazed peacefully in the lovely green fields.

One final picture or Gavin and Carolyn outside their guest house at Bunratty where they were staying last night. They were looking forward to enjoying the medieval banquet in Bunratty castle later.
This was another really nice tour with two lovely people, and one that will once again leave me with many happy memories.

If you wish to enquire about a possible tour with me and my company, then just drop me a line. I can accommodate you at any time.
